Adult acne and its causes

If you thought acne was a teenage bane, think again! For a woman in her 20s, adult acne is more than just the untimely breakouts. Sreyoshi tells you about it.

- Removing facial hair makes the skin tissue swell, thereby sending acne causing bacteria and skin cells deeper into the pores.

- Experimenting with new cosmetic products is bad for your 20s' skin. The preservatives and ingredients challenge your skin, leading to breakouts.

- Not removing makeup before hitting the bed is a bad idea! Clogged pores are prone to breakouts. Always remove your makeup with a bi-phased remover.

- Change of environment challenges your skin, thereby producing zits. Always carry a gentle face wash that not only helps to clear pimples but also removes blemishes and tightens skin pores.

- A high carb diet consisting of sugary snacks, soda or deep fried stuff will give birth to pimples. Stick more to green veggies and plain water instead.

- Cell phones are exposed to surfaces with bacteria. So when you chat endlessly, you bring the bacteria closer to your mouth. Next time your phone rings, think twice!

- A stressed mind and body will lead to breakouts. Get involved in yoga or meditation, so you stay relaxed all the time.

Quit smoking. It imbalances your hormonal levels and challenges the immune system, leading to breakouts.

Make sure you have a stock of skin care essentials you need in your 20s as from the afore-mentioned pointers, you have to agree that adult acne has more to do with a bad lifestyle than simply bad skin habits.
